Jack

Jack at the shelter Jack is a brown capuchin who arrived at Jungle Friends on December 28, 2005 after being confiscated by authorities in Ohio. On October 26, 2005 police dispatch responded to calls about shots fired at a residence in Dayton, Ohio. Two men were found shot to death and another man critically wounded. Investigators found drugs, cash, automatic weapons, a pitbull, an alligator, and Jack -- a 2 ½-year-old baby capuchin monkey tied to the back porch. All the animals were taken to the county animal shelter. The Dayton Humane Society contacted Primate Rescue Center, who contacted Jungle Friends. Jack was underweight, dehydrated and had urine burns on his little behind.

Jack and Connie at play Connie, the matriarch of the group, welcomed Jack with lots of attentive grooming and rough and tumble play! Jack was also introduced to Jill, Connie, Kabooki, Tyler and Wanda and they are doing better than any of us could have hoped. Jack is all boy and keeps everyone on their toes with his outrageous play!
