Mitzi is a very lucky 4-year-old common marmoset. Mitzi was bred for research and had been sent to a laboratory to be 'used' in biomedical research, but a change of course allowed her a bright future at Jungle Friends instead. It was a special moment on August 11, 2007, when she first set foot in her new naturalistic habitat; trees and sunshine were much more appreciated than the metal cage she was used to.

Mitzi spends a lot of her time running through her habitat visiting with the other marmosets in ‘Munchkin Land’. She also enjoys looking for special treats, she is a champion eater! Mitzi is very curious about her surroundings and the other marmosets we plan to pair Mitzi with Mojo Jojo in the near future, so keep your fingers crossed for a love-connection! Mitzi would also LOVE to find a generous sponsor!
