PC (short for Problem Child) is a tufted capuchin, estimated to have been born in the late 1980's and arriving at Jungle Friends on April 8th, 2005. Captured in the rainforest as a youngster, PC was exported to the US and sold into research where he lived for nearly two decades. PC was housed alone in the laboratory.
Fortunately, after the research program ended, PC and eight other tufted capuchins were retired to Jungle Friends. Here at Jungle Friends, they all enjoy large, naturalistic outdoor habitats, particularly PC. Extremely reserved at first, PC came alive as he explored his new Jungle Friends home. He romps and plays, climbs and jumps and offers a bright play face to his monkey friends. PC's transformation has been very heartwarming.
